Dog Training and Coaching solutions in the comfort of your home!
All services require an initial assessment from which a proposed coaching and education plan is developed.
The initial assessment will consist of an assessment of your dog, their health, lifestyle, likes and dislikes, daily routines, behavior, relationship with the guardian and other household or family members and the environment they live in.
Based on the assessment a proposed coaching and education plan will be developed.
Based on the initial assessment, in these sessions we will work on the specific areas of attention to help your dog thrive.
The session takes place in the comfort of your home or a suitable outdoor space. A session takes about 60 minutes.
After the session you will receive a write-up of the session with an overview of all the items we discussed, video material and items to work on.
An initial assessment is required prior to the dog coaching session.

" Diesel has been smart, curious, energetic, determined, athletic, and utterly stubborn since the day he arrived at our house as an 8-week old pup. After 16-months of training and getting used to one another, we realized that Diesel was far too smart and driven to go any longer without some sort of formal training. Noortje is PASSIONATE about dogs, and her coaching approach is unique and effective. The focus was always on teaching the human how to understand the dog’s body language, reactions to stimuli, natural and learned behaviors, and basic needs. Noortje designed the training program to be progressive for both my son and Diesel, and the training was normally performed on public trail systems, or in our yard. I’ve gone from being a dog “grandparent” who constantly worried about Diesel’s behavior and people’s safety, to being quite confident taking him in the car, to town, for walks in the neighborhood, or trail running on public trails. He is still a high-energy, work-driven, young dog, but has really grown into be a pleasure to have around. Noortje helped us learn so much about Diesel’s needs and the signs he gives us when he is feeling happy versus stressed. "

My favorite part of this challenge was how Noortje discussed how dogs need to be given a choice. I mean, Finnegan's life is spoiled rotten, but I never thought about asking him which direction he wanted to walk, or which treat he would prefer (he chose the bully stick over the tarter buster this morning)!
